Hey everyone! It’s Scott from Baja Window to the South. Thank you so much for watching, and for all of your impressions and valuable feedback! Though I’ve been writing about the culture and cuisine of Baja for a decade and have worked behind the scenes as a fixer and producer on a number of shows in the region, this is my first time on the other side of the camera, so I really appreciate it 🙂

I’ve forwarded your comments to our production team, and we will definitely take everything into consideration for subsequent shows—which will be airing weekly on YouTube, and later, hopefully, streaming services.

To answer a couple of questions here, yes, the show IS filmed in Tijuana. This helps support local production talent and businesses and adheres to the format of the original show, “Tijuana Window to the South”.

Olga will be doing location segments as well. We anticipate seeing her fishing, hiking, surfing, and doing a lot of the outdoor type activities she loves.

About the suit…when my producer, Fabiola Camarena, formerly of TV Azteca, told me I needed a suit for the interview with the Secretary of Tourism, I visibly cringed! I haven’t worn one since I left corporate America back in 2001. But Mexican government officials are fairly formal, and I wanted to be respectful of our first guest 🙂 Our second episode finds me back in jeans, loafers, a tee and a casual jacket.

Thanks again everyone! Stay tuned for Episode 2 next week!
