    Hey Juan,

Yes there was some theft one night during high winds that concealed the presence of a thief due to the noise of tarps, palm fronds, etc. Some things were taken from individual camps like camp stove, extra propane tank, etc. The security is spotty if nonexistent as there is no one actually patrolling at night. There is an entrance gate but the attendant is not up all night. There was an investigation the next morning as the perp left unique boot prints. Wasn’t anything major missing in most spots.

I have a RIB (rubber inflatable boat) with a new Honda motor worth a few bucs. The perp skipped my palapa because I hung a solar motion sensitive light on my palapa post up high. It goes off even if the palm fronds are blowing in the wind :). My motor is also locked on the transom so it is not easy to take. A lot of the Canadians with RIB’s had no problems leaving their boats above the high tide line.

Let your friends know that they will be in the prime Mexican Semana Santa season and the beaches will be crazy crowded with drunks on the road. Pretty much all gringos leave before Easter week because of that. If I can help with anything else please let me know.
