I love spending time in the Malecon area but it’s too hot to go in summer and storms can come in. La Paz is a perfect vacation destination from Christmas to Easter. We made the mistake the first time of going in September. The year was 2012 and after we got there, a tropical storm developed and we thought no big deal as long as it wasn’t a hurricane.

WRONG!

Our friends rental car was damaged and we spent a few days stuck in our hotel rooms with the car damaged, streets full of water, the hotel power out, hot, high humidity and scared / mad.

After that we only go December thru April.
