soulmates / soul mates
A few years back, I stumbled across an idiom for “soulmates” that I believe is commonly used in Mexico: medias naranjas. I mistakenly thought it meant “orange socks,” which made my instructor laugh uncontrollably. Today I encountered another idiom, which may or may not be commonly used in Mexico: almas gemelas. Are there any others I’m not aware of – particularly in Baja?
