Valle de Guadalupe has rapidly become a fantasy world for foodies and wine enthusiast. Toba is the best restaurant that you will never see from the main road. Toba is tucked away up in the hills behind a hotel called Encuentro. About a 35 minute drive East of Ensenada, this mountainside restaurant features an explosively delicious brunch menu and a Mediterranean inspired lunch and dinner menu that will rock your taste buds.
Chefs Andres & Vanessa put so much love and care into their dishes and you can truly taste their passion and attention to detail on the plate. They also offer a phenomenal and eccentric cocktail menu that will play mind games with your pallet. The Mezcal cocktails are smoothly dangerous and the Betabel (beet) concoction will shock you.
Surprisingly, the prices are well below that of many of the Michelin caliber restaurants along the same route. Toba offers about the best view in the Valle and the food, beverages and service are top notch. Can’t wait to get back to this spot for some of the best I’ve had in Valle de Guadalupe.
