Chef Manny has some major huevos! He opened El Callejon (The Alley) during the middle of Covid, on a dirt alley behind a police station and in a totally random part of Rosarito Beach… AND IT’S SOOOO GOOD!
Over on the East side of Rosarito, just South of the main Palacio building and just behind the police station… head up the dirt road and jet off to the right where you will be greeted by a gaggle of barking dogs (seemingly friendly) and you will find this gem of a spot.
This is a family run business and you feel the love right when you walk through the front door. Chef Manny is a little shy, but his plates shout from the mountain tops. Manny executes every plate perfectly, his flavors are layered methodically, and each bite will surprise you. The Chilaquiles are off the charts, his Chicken Breast Sandwich will rock your taste buds and even his pancakes will make your eyes (and tummy) do a happy dance.
