Smoking in public will become more difficult tomorrow here in Mexico
New law takes effect tomorrow, January 16, 2023
Get ready smokers, lighting up a smoke is going to become much harder wherever you go in Mexico beginning tomorrow, as smoking will be prohibited in public indoor AND outdoor spaces in all of Mexico, including outdoor expos, shopping malls, beaches, parks and stadiums.

Good riddance! It’s a nasty, filthy habit and I hate having to deal with the second hand smoke of others around me when I am trying to spend some time outside. I recognize that most smokers today are pretty considerate and go out of their way to keep it away from me but those few who don’t seem to care are the ones who brought this kind of legislation down on ALL smokers.
OK, I’ll get down off my soap box now.

A member of our Facebook commented that crooked cops could use this as a means to liberate smokers of 20 bucks and they could be right.

Let’s hope so! Better they go after violating smokers and keep them from focusing on drivers with foreign plates.
