So while we are going to permanent Daylight Savings time up here, AMLO wants change all the Mexican states along the border to permanent standard time? Does he have any clue how this will affect all the Mexican businesses along the border? I used to think he was just incredibly naive but now I am beginning to believe he is simply stupid!

I actually would prefer to stay on standard time as I like to have the sun come up earlier.

That seems to be a feeling I have heard from others who like to get up early. Our home may be the exception as I get up early and still like DST as Cristina loves to sleep in and still prefers standard time. Go figure.

Just another bad idea. Mexico is so rich in its people, geography and resources but continues to be its own worst enemy, making bad moves like one after another. One Mexican we met and shared breakfast with explained it to us like this:

“Mexico continues to survive, in spite of all the best efforts of our politicians to burn the country down”

I really don’t care. Once I cross the border heading south I stop paying any attention to what time it is until I am in the line heading back home.
