Heading out soon for a couple of months in the Conception Bay area. Crossing with a 33′ RV and tow car at Mexicali east for the first time at this crossing. Been crossing since 70’s and I think this is the only place I have never crossed before.
Yet, with the potential change every time you cross to head south… it can be like the first time.
Checked out a posted YouTube video of a recent RV crossing at this location that had some helpful hints, but not real confident with the limited shots of turn points post entry to get pointed south on the 5. Reviewed some past postings of maps but who knows if they are still applicable? Then there’s the lack of information on places to park a glamping vehicle of this size, to obtain the visa stamp in the prepaid FMM.
The wife and I did 10,000 miles touring the US for Covid relief all of 2021, so well versed in all driving conditions with the rig.
I’ll report over the next couple of months on the crossing and our time on the road. Maybe come up with some answers for the crew at Talk Baja! -
