4 Great Reasons to Go Off-Roading
Not that any of you need an excuse, but here are some great benefits from spending time off-roading…
1. FALL IN LOVE WITH DRIVING AGAIN
The more automotive technologies progress, the more layers of distance it puts between the driver and the role of driving. The constancy of having to navigate over rocks, ruts, fine sand and mud helps you feel more in control of your vehicle’s performance and more connected with the road / trail.
2. DISCONNECT FROM TECHNOLOGY
Some of the very best off-roading venues are often located in remote areas without cell reception and when you’re attempting to conquer difficult and rough trails, you need your full attention focused on the task at hand. Off-roading will also increase your auto-repair and problem-solving skills. When you’re roughing it in the wilderness with your buds, if something goes wrong, it’s up to you to fix it. The convenience of roadside assistance doesn’t come into play in this setting. You’ll find that you have more confidence when car mishaps happen on paved routes, knowing that you can fix basic issues without needing to wait for help to arrive.

You know, it’s been a number of years since we’ve really done any serious off-roading but reading all your recent posts about it is really making me think about buying another jeep or UTV. Although I will have to convince the boss and that’s no easy hurdle.
But keep the posts coming.
