So you live in Mexico full time? If so, I think your best option would be to switch to Baja registration for your vehicle. It’s cheap these days I hear only costing a few hundred bucks under a special program. Then you can get a bi-national insurance policy which costs only a tiny bit more than a national policy for Mexico only. Plus, you will save on annual registration costs too.
