Rosarito Beach Tourist Police Officer shot dead in Tijuana
Last night, January 23rd at approx 9:30PM, a man was shot dead in Tijuana. The victim was identified as Roberto Drew Cortez, 37 years old, a senior officer of the Tourist Police of Rosarito Beach. Also wounded at the scene was a 17 year old minor who was taken to the Hospital General de Tijuana with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and one of his hands. No other information has been released so far.

Was the young kid connected to the shooting or an innocent bystander? Difficult to know what was going on without more details.

Looks like there are 10 members of a criminal gang in Rosarito who were arrested in connection with the murder. The 17 year old who was wounded was the dead cop’s son.
