Polite thief apologizes before ripping off Oxxo in La Paz
The man took some articles and went to the checkout, where he apologized and proceeded with the robbery that took place in the Emiliano Zapata neighborhood, in La Paz
La Paz, Baja California Sur (BCS). A robbery at the OXXO store in the Emiliano Zapata neighborhood, in La Paz, was recorded on Monday, October 10 where the thief apologized before committing the robbery, taking the money from the register before fleeing.
The subject entered pretending to be a client, according witnesses at the scene.
Initial reports indicate that the events occurred around 5:40 p.m. on Colima and Yucatán streets, when a subject of approximately 30 years of age and slender build approached the cashier saying “Sorry, but this is how it is”.
After making a statement to the La Paz police, the person in charge of the establishment mentioned that the thief had selected some products, before going to the checkout where he took a bag out of his clothes and then asked the workers to fill it with money from the register.
Once witht eh cash in hand the 1.75-meter-tall man fled the store in an unknown direction while the employees dialed 911 to report what had happened.
