Otay Mesa Fast Pass Lane
My wife and I both get all our dental work done in Tijuana and we use the medical fast pass lane at San Ysidro which sometimes takes quite a while to reach on days with very heavy border traffic. We’d like to try the new fast pass lane at Otay Mesa but the article doesn’t make it clear exactly where we would find it / access it?

From the photos I saw it looks like it runs along the east side of the regular lanes so it probably is accessible via Bellas Artes Blvd.

I was told the access is directly off of Blvd. Bellas Artes.

I have heard that San Ysidro will have a second medical lane soon and with the new one opened at Otay Mesa will make 3 lanes available for those like myself who go to Tijuana for much of my medical care and all of my dental work.
If you are going to go to a doctor or dentist in Tijuana, first ask if they give the free medical pass to use a fast lane to return before scheduling your appointment. Not all of them offer it and it really is a big bonus to avoid waiting in the long line going back.

I have had dental work done in Tijuana in the past and I always said I would come down there for all my dental work if I didn’t have to deal with the border wait back. Is this something you can get from any dentist or do they all offer it now? Is there an additional cost?
