Mostly sunny skies in the northern regions of the Baja peninsula this afternoon with clouds increasing south of the 28th parallel with some rain showers and even a passing thunderstorm or two possible as you near the southern tip later today.

Lots of tropical storm activity building on the Atlantic side right now with the Eastern Pacific seeing relative calm in comparison, benefitting in part from some wind shear happening around the 15th parallel in recent days which is restricting the ability of low pressure air masses to better organize.

I wouldn’t bet for that to hold up for much longer and now is a perfect time to review your hurricane prep lists, restock missing items and replace any that may be expired.
