    Today’s Weather Conditions

    The current NW swell that is bringing high surf conditions to much of the Baja Pacific coastline will continue through the weekend, diminishing tomorrow night ahead of a another set of large NW swells that are expected offshore Baja California Monday night through midweek.

    Expect for some offshore winds from the SW to develop in the northern gulf region tonight as the winter storm begins to move across the northern regions of the peninsula today bringing some rain and chilly morning temps in the days ahead.

    Along the Baja Pacific side today, the afternoon high temperatures will reach up to 65 degrees under cloudy skies with some rain likely around Ensenada, 68 and cloudy with some rain tonight in the San Quintin Valley region with partly sunny skies and 71 in Guerrero Negro and up to 77 and sunny today around the Todos Santos area.

    Down Baja’s gulf coastline this afternoon expect for the high temps to reach up to 70 degrees with mostly cloudy skies for San Felipe, 76 and partly sunny in Bahia de Los Angeles, 79 and mostly sunny in Mulege, 80 and sunny in Loreto and up to 84 under sunny skies in La Paz this afternoon.

    The Cabo San Lucas area should see up to a maximum of 80 degrees under mostly sunny skies with an onshore breeze picking up from the southwest later this afternoon.

    Looks like this is going to be one of the best extended periods of a NW swell in a long time and of course it happens when I am laid up. I almost want to drive down just to watch.
