For the eastern North Pacific…east of 140 degrees west longitude:
1. Offshore of Southwestern Mexico: Overnight satellite-derived winds showed a small surface circulation has formed in association with the low pressure area located a few hundred miles west-southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico. The associated shower and thunderstorm activity has also increased within the past few hours. If this activity were to continue, a short-lived tropical depression could form later today or this evening while the system moves west-northwestward to northwestward at 10 to 15 mph. By Sunday, upper-level winds are forecast to strengthen over the system, and further development is not expected.

Along the Baja Pacific side today, expect for afternoon temperatures reaching up to 83 degrees around Ensenada, 85 in San Quintin, 87 in Guerrero Negro and up to 89 today around the Todos Santos area.
Down Baja’s gulf coastline this afternoon the high temps should reach up to 96 degrees for San Felipe, 98 in Bahia de Los Angeles, 99 in Mulege, 96 in Loreto and up to 98 this afternoon around La Paz.
The Cabo San Lucas area should see up to a maximum of 91 degrees under partly sunny skies with a slight chance of an afternoon rain shower possible.
