Baja California residents age 60 or over without other health insurance can now register online to be vaccinated against COVID19
State Health Secretary Alonso Pérez Rico, representing the border state of Baja California just announced the online registration of adults aged 60 and older to schedule the next round of COVID-19 vaccinations.
For foreigners living in Mexico to qualify for the vaccine, you must meet the following conditions:
• | Legal resident of Baja California |
• | Aged 60 or over |
• | Have a CURP (Clave Única de Registro de Población) |
• | Not currently registered with a healthcare plan |
If you believe that you qualify but are not fluent in Spanish, we strongly advise you to seek the help of a Spanish speaking friend or neighbor to help you to fill out the online registration form.
It is important to record your zip code where you live, as the registration process will help the local health authorities determine the demand to map out the regional distribution of the vaccine in the coming weeks. As part of the registration process, recording your zip code will trigger a drop box to select your neighborhood where you live.
If your neighborhood is not listed, simply choose one close by and select the option that you are able to drive to a local clinic in your area to receive the vaccine.

The online registration period for the next round of vaccines will run from now through February 14, 2021. If you are a legal resident of Mexico but don’t know your CURP, you can look it up via this online tool:
